Overview:
The Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities include performing regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, fixing electrical and mechanical failures, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, emergency repairs, and installation of new equipment.

• Complying with health and safety regulations.
• Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
• Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
• Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
• Read and comply with work orders concerning PMs, modification, or installation of machinery.
• Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.

Education/Certification: High school diploma and/or certification are desirable

Experience/ Knowledge Required:

• 5 years of industrial maintenance required if no education or certification
• 3 years of industrial maintenance required if education or certification
• Use hand tools and specialized tools (welding, precision, manual and semi-automated machines)
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals – Advanced
• Mechanical knowledge: motors, bearings, rollers, sprockets – Intermediate
• Pneumatics knowledge – Intermediate
• Electrical Systems knowledge – Advanced
• Computerized systems, CMMS Knowledge – Intermediate

Skill and Ability:

• Attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team atmosphere.
• Demonstrated ability to closely adhere to all instructions, WOs, SOP's, policies and procedures required.
• Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended amount of time
• Ability to act competently in emergencies
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
